Andrew Cawkwell, Head of Corporate Recovery and Insolvency at Watson Burton LLP, has recently accepted an invitation from Turnaround Management Association (TMA) UK to become a coordinator of events on its behalf for the North East region.

Andrew's intention is to create a lively and active group of people in this region who are involved in or interested to hear more about the topical issues of the day regarding the business of turning around distressed busineses.

Andrew says: "Watson Burton has a long history of helping distressed businesses in the North East which has ultimately resulted in us saving thousands of jobs nationally. I am therefore delighted to take an active role in TMA UK's work in the North East, bringing together professionals from international corporations and SME's to keep abreast of all the latest news in the corporate recovery, insolvency and turnaround market."

The group will aim to meet at least once a quarter and aims to deliver an interesting programme of activities and events designed to support CPD requirements and generate wide scale interest.
