Newcastle-headquartered Watson Burton advised on three equity investments for Arie Capital Limited, which has organised and advised on the investments on behalf of Singapore-based Golden Arie Hi Tech Investments Pte Ltd, a technology-oriented company focusing on connectivity, mobile and data transmission innovative technologies, and investing mostly in Israel, Europe and Asia.
The funds were invested in FloLive, a London-based IoT (Internet of Things) solutions provider, along with its sister organisations FloConnect and FloData. Singapore-headquartered Oasis Smart Sim Pte Ltd, a specialist in USIM technology connectivity and management was the second investee. Finally, Golden Arie Hi Tech Investments Pte Ltd has invested into NVF Tech Limited (which trades as REDUX), an audio technology firm based in Cambridgeshire.
Watson Burton’s team provided all round legal support to Arie Capital Ltd, advising on the terms of the investments and the investment agreements.

Watson Burton, which also has offices in Leeds and London, has built up a strong track record in the investment market. It recently advised fund management company FW Capital on a £750,000 investment into training specialist PTM Group, while last year, the firm supported Northstar Ventures in relation to the establishment of the £150 million Accelerated Digital Ventures fund, a specialist national technology fund; this was one of the largest deals in the North East in 2016.
In January, Watson Burton took second place in Experian’s Deal Review and Advisor League Table for the North East in 2016, having advised on 26 disclosable deals for companies based in the North East.
