Gearalt is a Partner in the Firm’s Employment Law Group. He has now been a solicitor for more than 7 years with a specialism in Employment Law. Gearalt joined Watson Burton LLP in 2005 from leading Leeds law firm, Ford & Warren. His broad experience involves all aspects of Employment Law including unfair dismissal, TUPE transfers, redundancy, variation in terms and conditions of employment. He has particular interest in large scale issues of a collective nature. Gearalt advises many clients both locally and nationally. He has a significant practice in the construction and engineering sectors but also has clients in the, sales, consumer credit and manufacturing sectors. He is a skilled advocate and has considerable experience representing employers defending all types of employment claims before the Employment Tribunal and the UK Courts nationally and has a number of reported cases. Gearalt regularly provides specific training to employers on a range of employment issues including collective redundancies, the TUPE Regulations and discrimination legislation.
