Warren Kemp is a partner in the construction department. Warren joined Watson Burton in 1999 (having completed his LLB at Durham University and LPC at Northumbria University). He qualified in 2002 and is part of the national contentious construction team.

Warren's practice involves acting for developers, housebuilders, contractors, subcontractors and consultants (including architects, engineers and quantity surveyors).

He has built up a good track record in all forms of dispute resolution including court proceedings, arbitration, adjudication, mediation and expert determination. Increasingly, Warren is being asked to provide commercial/legal advice to clients during the project in the hope that this might avoid costly dispute proceedings (or at least if there is a dispute the client is best prepared to advance its interests).

Warren is also involved on the non-contentious side in terms of drafting/advising on building contracts, consultants appointments, warranties etc.

He also works with our professional indemnity practice (having worked in-house on secondment for one the world's leading consultant's practices this is an area which has real client context for Warren).
