Looking after our people is important to us. A relationship of mutual trust and respect between the firm and its staff is the key to success and we work to maintain and develop these relationships. We are a friendly firm: from admin clerks and secretaries up to top tier management. The spacious open plan designs of our offices fosters communication between team members. We pride ourselves on being approachable both to clients and colleagues.
Working Life
Each department is organised into working teams headed by a partner with associate solicitors, assistant solicitors and trainees working together under this partners' close supervision. This organisational structure means that there is a clear framework of support operating throughout the firm and helps to relieve the pressure of a high workload to ensure we consistently hit our clients' deadlines.
We do not operate a culture of working long hours for the sake of appearances. Maintaining an effective work-life balance is important to the health and happiness of staff and for efficient, accurate and high quality work. However, it is accepted that in the very nature of work as a solicitor, long hours of hard work are sometimes necessary in order to get the job done on time and on budget.
Socal Life
Watson Burton LLP is a sociable place to work. Trainees are encouraged to organise their own networking events and there is a good mix of socialising across all levels of the firm. We also organise events to include future trainees. This is a good opportunity to meet members of the firm before starting work here as a trainee. |
