In this breakfast briefing we will be looking at the following:

How to assess a Compensation Event
The NEC contracts are over 20 years old and we have waited this long for some case law on how a CE should be assessed. Partner, Sarah Wilson, will look at the recent caselaw to determine how useful it is in assessing CEs and who it benefits.

The end of smash and grab adjudication?
There has been much in the legal and construction press on the recent decision in the case of Grove developments v S&T (UK); predicting the end of smash and grab adjudications. Partner, David Spires will consider whether it really is the end and what questions this important decision still leaves open.

GDPR comes into force on May 25 2018
GDPR will apply to any company that collects personal data. Associate Bal Manak will look into the impact of this on the construction industry and highlight steps that need to be taken to ensure compliance with the new rules.

Who should attend?
This CPD approved seminar will be of interest to all construction professionals.

There will also be opportunity for networking with other professionals in the industry before and after the seminar, where light refreshments will be available.
